Great reads! I have been wondering why some Instagram accounts have only few likes when the followers are thousands. This post explains well and now I understood why. I think that it is not wise for a brand to buy fake followers, however, it is up to ones preference to do so. Do you think that fake followers will continue to grow in the future?

Hi Khng022, Thank you so much for reading my blog! Oh well, now you know why those accounts have such a difference in their likes and followers:). I think that it is up to the brand to buy fake followers or not too, but then I feel that if they wanna build trust and integrity, fake followers is a no no.
If the brands doesn’t mind what the followers might think, then they can maybe invest on fake followers. However, they should know that it will not bring any significant results in the long-run.
I think that fake followers will continue to grow, however, Instagram is definitely not supporting it. They will always “cleanse” the fake followers and delete their account permanently to prevent having too much fake accounts on the site.

I agree that influencers and businesses should not buy fake followers to enhance their visibility and they should be genuine in front of their followers. They should not engage in activity that would tarnish their image and integrity in order to gain trust from their customers.
I think it is up to the businesses or influencers if they wanna buy fake followers or not, but then of course people will view them differently if they decided to buy followers. For me, I would view them as fake and lazy if they buy fake followers. Businesses and influences might even lose the trust from their customers if they decided to buy fake followers and got exposed.

Hi Nina! Thanks to your post now I know that those influencers with thousands of followers but only less than hundred of likes are the one that have bought fake followers. I do think it is unethical for business to do so, but I also think it is up to the business maybe?
If I just started my own company and dont have any followers, I would buy fake followers just to make my page look lively. I might be wrong and unethical, but I think it might receive more insights rather than waiting for real followers. What do you think of my views?

If you had the idea of buying fake followers for your company, I would suggest you to think again if you could gain followers organically by watching the video I provided or read the tips I wrote on my blog. And if the result is still yes, you can freely proceed to buy followers to enhance the liveliness of your page:)

I think you should focus on quality post, quality followers, tell a story, post interesting posts, be social, know your audiences and maybe use hashtag on your posts and Instagram stories.
